Cancellation & Refund Policy
This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms for cancelling reservations, orders, or services with Marenghi's Restaurant Limited, and the conditions under which refunds may be issued. By making a reservation, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Reservation Cancellations
Reservations can be cancelled or modified by contacting us directly via email, phone, or through our website (where available). The following cancellation terms apply:
- For standard reservations (1-4 guests): Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the reserved time will not incur any charges.
- For large group reservations (5+ guests): Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. Failure to cancel within this period may result in a fee equivalent to 50% of the estimated total bill.
- No-shows (failure to arrive for a reservation without prior notice) will be charged a fee equivalent to 50% of the estimated total bill for groups of 5+ guests; standard reservations will not incur a no-show fee but may affect future booking availability.
- Special event bookings (e.g., private parties, celebrations) require a deposit at the time of booking, which is non-refundable if cancelled less than 7 days in advance.
2. Order Cancellations
For takeaway or delivery orders placed through our website or third-party platforms, cancellation terms are as follows:
- Orders can be cancelled free of charge within 15 minutes of placing the order, provided the order has not yet been prepared.
- Cancellations made after 15 minutes or once the order has started being prepared will not be eligible for a full refund; a partial refund may be issued at our discretion, minus any costs incurred for ingredients and preparation.
- Delivery orders that have already been dispatched cannot be cancelled, and no refund will be issued.
3. Refund Eligibility & Processing
Refunds will only be issued in accordance with the terms outlined above, and under the following conditions:
- Refunds are only applicable to payments made for reservations, deposits, or orders that meet the cancellation criteria.
- Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original transaction, within 5-7 business days of the cancellation being approved.
- Deposits for special events are non-refundable if cancelled less than 7 days in advance, as stated in Section 1.
- No refunds will be issued for food or beverages that have been consumed, or for services that have been fully provided.
4. Exceptions
We reserve the right to waive cancellation fees or issue full refunds at our discretion in cases of emergency, illness, or unforeseen circumstances (with supporting documentation if requested). Additionally, we may cancel reservations or orders due to operational issues, staff shortages, or safety concerns, in which case a full refund will be issued immediately.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation & Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of our services after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
